Minutes: Speaking on behalf of the Clay Educational Staff Professional Association, Teresa Dixon thanked Board members who accepted the union's challenge to work a day as a support employee.  Mrs. Studdard, Mrs. Kerekes, and Mrs. Bullock reported on their work day experiences and were presented certificates by CESPA.

Mrs. McKinnon addressed the financial impact of an appointed superintendent and other data showing that an appointed superintendent does not yield higher district outcomes. She reviewed a powerpoint presentation she prepared of cost comparisons with like-sized Florida counties. Following her presentation, there was Board discussion.

Minutes: John Merrill, Assistant Superintendent for Support Services, led discussion about several parcels of land that have potential options for donation, purchase, sell, or swap.

Motions:
Authorize appraisals, surveys and environmental studies on five (5) of the proposed parcels (excluding the Amerigas parcel) with the proviso that they be negotiated with the owners so there is no cost to the school district and that the school district shall bear the cost of the appraisal, survey and environmental study for the Washington parcel that is being offered as a donation.  - PASS
